Uber, San Francisco, CA
Formulated the Photography Brand Guidelines for the 2018 Uber re-brand. Crafted the style based on strategic insight, and industry knowledge. Synthesized this POV with that of many stakeholders, achieving an actionable visual identity for photographers to execute. Recommended and briefed photographers for each incoming project. Lead an in-house team of photographers, retouchers, and assistants from recruiting through training and project management and execution. Elevated the Uber Photography program by collaborating with Producers, Art Directors, and Photographers, thereby insuring consistency and premium quality from a project's conception through delivery.

Headed the photography department, focusing on Product Photography and creatively composing product shots back into lifestyle photography. As a lead Retoucher, acted as the go-to for deciding how to tackle incoming projects. Met with clients, developed strategic project specific workflows, and guided teammates through the process to ensure quality and continuity. As both a Retoucher and a Photographer, was consistently reliable in delivering top level creative work with technical precision. Clients included Salesforce, Intel, Twitter, Beats, Nest, Virgin America, Visa, McDonalds, Fitbit, Adidas, Kettle Chips, Modelo, Dolby, Cricket, and Mini BMW.

Creative Retoucher, 2008-2012

High-end digital retouching including extensive compositing, extends of field, advanced edits, and color correction. Worked successfully with sales staff, production managers, and project managers to insure client's goals were met. Excelled in retouching a wide variety of image types and brands: Fashion and Retail clothing (Old Navy, Charlotte Russe, Gap, Dockers, Levis, Oakley, Bare Minerals), Automotive (Scion, Audi, Chevy, Lexus, Volkswagon, Hyundai), Athletics (Nike, EA Sports, North Face), Computers and Digital Devices (HP, Cisco, Intel, Adobe, Sprint, US Cellular), Food (Williams Sonoma, Domino's Pizza, Tillamook).

Creative Retoucher, 2007-2008
Attik, San Francisco, CA
Collaborated with in-house Art Directors and Graphic Designers to create innovative, powerful imagery for all Scion car models. Executed extensive compositing and color correction. Created custom cars by swapping parts (spoilers, rims, decals, windows), changing car colors, creating stylized backgrounds, and comping the cars into their new environment. Also retouched lifestyle images for Scion branding.

Retoucher/Digital Artist, 2003-2007
Simayof Inc., San Francisco, CA
Worked in-house creating print and web images for fine diamond jewelry. Directed photography, designed ads, executed all retouching including compositing, editing, color correcting, and preparing mechanicals for final delivery to publications. Devised new retouching workflow from RAW conversion through final output. Experience communicating with publications and print vendors.

Digital Photography Instructor, 2002-2003
Grant from the Marin Arts Council, San Rafael, CA
Co-designed and implemented a photography project for teens at the MIYO Teen Center. Worked with at-risk teens to create photo essays telling the stories of their lives from their perspectives. Taught teens to use Photoshop to turn snap shots into polished photographs.

MIYO Teen Center, San Rafael, CA
Built a digital photography studio and taught photo editing in Photoshop. Redesigned all marketing materials aimed at teens: posters, flyers, and informational packets. Ran the Oasis Job Training program: organized and taught training seminars. Spearheaded outreach: wrote press releases, organized multimedia presentations, and performed street outreach.
